The festivel, held at the Siri Fort auditorium in New Delhi on Friday, showcased hits like Nayakan, Thevar Magan, and Hey Ram. Fondly called Ulaganayagan by his fans, kamal made his deput in Kalathoor Kannamma as a child with 'Kaadal Manna' Gemini Ganesan and won his first National Filam Award for best child artiste whn he was four. He has been Jucky, in that he holds the distinction of being the only child artiste to have acted alongside M G Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan, the first, a mass hero and the latter, the best actor of thoses years
